HOMMAGE for clarinet was composed in 1994 as an honour to my professor Willem Kersters, with whom I studied composition at the Royal Antwerp Conservatory of Music. The basic material was inspired by the opening motive of his 3rd Symphony. The basic cell was transformed and returns in different forms in this work for solo clarinet.
