2 Mantras

The 2 MANTRAS stem from works such as The Four Elements, Void and Disappearing in Light, all of which are part of the Tantric Cycle, a seven-part series of compositions inspired by the East. These compositions give voice to the elements of nature, with electronics playing a prominent role. Wim Henderickx developed an imaginary language and the mezzo soprano is given an open form in which she is free to determine the trajectory. A variety of vocal techniques are used.
