The original version of DECORS for oboe and bassoon was composed in 1989. Later versions were written for clarinet and bass clarinet, and for alto saxophone and baritone saxophone. It is a short piece with a rhythmic character. Various changes in time signature characterise the entire composition. The technical possibilities of both instruments are explored.
