LIBERA ME for four-part mixed choir was composed in 1992.
It is the first motet with Latin lyrics that the composer wrote; ‘Libera me Domine, de morte eterna’ (Free me, Lord, from eternal death).
It is composed in a free, atonal language.
This work is an expressive musical interpretation of these Latin lyrics from the Requiem Mass (mass for the dead).
