text
SUITE for violin and piano was written in 1988. Originally, a Suite consisted of a series of dances. This Suite consists of a series of six movements, written in a free form. These are six contrasting movements, all based on the same basic material, forming a single whole. From extremely dreamy and unreal moments (parts I-III-IV) to driving, obsessive rhythms (part II) to passionate dynamics in the melody (part VI). Humour also has a place in this work (part IV). The different parts: Prelude - Furioso - Interlude (Misterioso) Scherzo - Lamento - Allegro Molto
