Missa Brevis

Missa Brevis is part of the multimedia production Revelations, which takes as its starting point the impressive visions of the 13th-century poet and mystic Hadewijch d'Anvers (d. 1248). Her testimonies are among the most astonishing texts in our literary history. In the tradition of medieval Christian mysticism, Hadewijch describes in her Visions an ecstatic love relationship with the divine Other; passion is the key word here. This work consists of five parts: Kyrie, Gloria, Sanctus, Agnus Dei and Hallelujah.
